Whatever happens, I feel as though both Alexandra and Laura have great careers ahead of them. JLS possibly – this, I say, mainly because of their major following so early in the competition. I just hope the viewing public don’t vote for crappy people like they did tonight (I mean honestly, Daniel and the little boy…no, just no).
Roll on next week, though. The theme has been confirmed as Mariah Carey songs. What’s more the diva herself will be there. Granted we’ll no doubt hear renditions of some of her classics, wouldn’t it be great if we could hear some of her newer material performed by contestants, namely ‘We Belong Together’, ‘Don’t Forget About Us’ and maybe even the so-rubbish-it’s good ‘Touch My Body’?

Laura just doesnt do it for me. never did. she to me is a like a broke down amy winehouse. Her voice is just… (and im trying to be as nice as possible) a hot fuc*in mess. she would never make it over here in the USA. Alexandra, however, has my vote. That is if i could vote. 😉
OMG Laura for me is the one!! Sam i couldnt agree more with you …on ur last statement about daniel & oeghan (owen) i thought i was the only 1 in the world who thought they were the weakest this week….Alexandra…too many black girls i know that are just like her no offence because shes got a great talent…just not unique enough…Now Laura…Diana..even Ruth…u dont get them evryday.

Its all about Laura, but i think Diana did the best performance last night. Cant believe Austin got voted off, I thought he would be in the top 3 with Laura and Diana!!
I think the country agrees with you Sam… its a travesty that Daniel and Eoughan havent gone yet. One of em needs to go next week!
Laura is a hot vocalist and she’s got great potential.
People comment on how Alexandra sounds like other good black singers but although there maybe truth to that somewhat the thing that makes her stand out is her stage presence and swagger. She’s bringing it on X-factor especially the last two weeks. Not even Leona had that presence on stage. Shes a star and getting better.
Why should the soft plastic voices dominate the charts? BIG voice singers are coming back.
Alex, Laura, Rachel, Austin and JLS made the “Hero” single hot…
Laura sounds like a drowning cat, i cant stand her. Rachal should have gone home the arrogant so and so. and Diana Vickers was the best, she has to win!

i think diana would be huge internationally…she can easily crossover with her unique style
I cant believe owen and daniel are still there, we all know daniels there because of his sob story and everyone still alive from WW1 voting for him and owens there because of his cute gay looks and because every 5-8 year old girl is vorting for him

Sam, you need to stop ignoring diana. She is out an out the most original, naturally talented artist in the show. I feel like you only ever highlight the ‘rnb’-ish type artists. but this would be a much better, more rounded set of updates if you actually looked at the outside of this little rnb bubble. alexandra: Leona Lewis on benefits – Laura:great voice….but thats about it, and JLS;hmmmmm really? c’mon man…they are ok, but not as great as people making out. only 2 of them have strong voices anyways.

Alexandra was the best FULL STOP!! In it to win it…..I was worried a few weeks ago cus she seemed to be stressed out in the comp BUT recently she’s enjoyin herself and doing GREAT. I hope she win’s but i respect the threats in the comp.
Laura is really good and powerful i like her a lot.
Diana needs to show a little stage presence but she’s definately showing her versatility with making songs her own. Very good…
Rachel very very lucky to still be in…. though her and Austin should’ve not been bottom 2…
Daniel must goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo he ain’t gonna win so no point public helping out… Eoughan hasn’t really flopped as yet in the tasks given but he not strong enough to win.
Ruth was ok but not my fav of hers
The fact Austin’s song wasn’t very Disco may have been contributing factor to his bottom 2 outcome but he sung well IMO…
JLS got it right this week so they deserve to continue. They can still get vocally better but the chemistry is really cool to see.
I'm sorry, although i like Diana there is nothing that original about her, she sounds very similar to Dolores O'Riordan from the cranberries (check youtube) As for the comments about Alexandra, yes, there are loads of black girls who can sing alexander has a good tone to her voice and has been on point for weeks. For me this is Laura's best weeks, she didn't sing in 3 voices and was reminiscent of the girl we saw in the first audition (i know its the same song) She didn't sound like an Amy Winehouse tribute band and was more original. it's sad that Austin went home because he wasn't the worst but he does sound too much like lee from Blue and that started to irk me. Rachel… Rachel looked like older than 26 and hasn't (apart from last week) shown much star quality. Simon and co keep saying raw talent – fantasia had raw talent she needs to step it up. Daniel & Oeghan need to go the the judges keep praising the young rhythmless one. Mariah week will be a hard week. Cjeryl needs t take notes on her artists interpreting Mariah songs and not trying to be Mariah. Alex needs to be careful as she's sung Mariah already so needs to make it original as we know already that she can sing mariah songs. Hopefully this'll be the end of Daniel and Oeghan leaving room for the real artists in the making
I preferred Laura to Alexandra. I think this song worked for her. She was able to make it her own. Overall, I agree with Simon. Vocals are amazing this week, looks/presentation lackluster.
