Taylor Swift‘s no stranger to seeing her name penciled in Billboard Hot 100 history books.
As if holding the record for most career top 10 debuts of any artist as well as being the only female artist to dethrone herself from the #1 spot weren’t enough, now she’s added a new accomplishment to her endless list of achievements. A week after her newest single, ‘Me!’ (featuring Brendon Urie), debuted at #100 on the tally based on airplay alone, the tune finds itself at #2 on this week’s refreshed charts.
And, while unable to unseat the reigning champ Lil Nas X, the jump gave Swift another distinct honor: the biggest position jump in Hot 100 history. Coming as her 23rd Hot 100 hit, ‘Me!’ also helped the singer tie Whitney Houston‘s all-time top 10 record.
More inside:
‘Me’ sold 193,000, opens at No. 2 on Streaming Songs with 50.7 million U.S. streams, and flies 27-13 on Radio Songs [thanks to] 54.1 million in audience, up from 36.9 million in its first three days).

I guess…
Im a Bey fan but I respect Taylor’s craft, artistry and huge huge following. Congrats Taylor for making history. #1 in digital charts, #2 in billboard hot 100.
All this yet the song and bout 95% of chart ain’t s*** compared to REAL music. Thank God some of us have great taste because the standards today are incredibly low as f***. Quality OVER Quantity any and everyday.
ITS BASIC B**** IRONING BOARD SEASON!!!!! ???? I mean, I know people like her, but it’s like eating candy floss all day everyday – people like it – but it really as substantial as a good meal? No, it’s just basic and pretty empty consumption. I love POP but this is not a good Pop Song.
Anywho – whilst not taking away from her 193k sales, if you stagger (payola) your radio spins 1 week after release I’m sure that contributes to an increase in audience impressions at radio …. so we take that into consideration for the factors leading to the jump……
She really has a huge following.
I enjoyed 1989 and some of the songs on her last album. But i‘m Really disappointed with this new song – it’s so childish. I mean, she is 30 now and still making songs that sound like a Disney Movie. Thought she would go a more mature route after her last albums.
With that being, grape juice, stop with the annoying videos on the mobile version of this page. They are horrible and nobody wants to see them
Wow no number 1 debut
Lmaooo poor roach, she will never relate lmfaooooo ? ?? ? #14kHomeFLOPPING
Your girl Nicki CAN relate to being #2 tho! ?

why is she still a thing :\
It´s definitely appalling. The good thing about this song is definitely the guy from Panic.
I truly thought with the huge easy pop appeal the song has that the song would be a long-running #1. I´m doubting it now? It´s weird, with Taylor´s sales and such big video and with all the streams.
Like someone said in a podcast, she will always win every time she comes out with a new single/era she knows her audience is teeny boppers so she starts there and they love her they can relate.
