Sharing that she didn’t see Queen Bey at the time, the American Idol alum relayed that the megastar showed her love following her show-stopping spectacle and expressed a desire for a collaboration.
Writing on Instagram, ‘The Color Purple’ star gushed:
“I am still on a High from yesterday!! I was so in my zone I didn’t recognize @beyonce was standing there! After the performance, your hug, your elegance and the amazing gift you hold… I would love to do a record with you and/or Grace the stage with you Queen. I want to thank @saintedtrapchoir @thedennisreedjr for the choir you all heard at the end of the performance. What a night to remember @recordingacademy✨💫🌟!”

As I read Fantasia’s response, it appears to be a very calculated and measured response to squash any potential drama that social media had begun to instigate between her and Beyonce. Notice the part where she said that Beyonce hugged her after the performance. Nobody knew that. It was her letting everyone know that Beyonce was not hating on her, nor did she purposely ignore Beyonce.
So to your point why didn’t Fantasia ask for collab with Jay-z?…I think her aim was to squash any potential drama,
