‘The Book of Clarence’ arrives on the big screen next January.

But before then, the hotly anticipated Jeymes Samuel production is making its premiere at the 67th BFI London Film Festival, with its gala world premiere taking place today (Wednesday 11th October).

The director’s latest offering, which follows the revered ‘The Harder They Fall,’ ‘brings a Biblical-era blockbuster to the cinematic pulpit.

LaKeith Stanfield leads the All-Black fronted film as Clarence – a streetwise, but debt-ridden man trying to get by.

Initially unfazed by the teachings of Jesus Christ, he becomes enchanted by the magnetizing appeal of the Messiah, His apostles, and their teachings. Fuelled by this fascination, Clarence puts everything on the line to make a change – and learns an unlikely lesson in the process.

Eagerly anticipated, the film features all-new music from JAY-Z, Samuel, and more.

‘The Color Purple’ is reborn on the big screen this December.

Based on the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical, which itself was an adaptation of Alice Walker’s 1982 Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, the latest incarnation of the story is a musical movie led by Fantasia.

The multi-hyphenate talent is joined by a stellar cast that includes Danielle Brooks, Taraji P. Henson, H.E.R, Halle Bailey, Colman Domingo, Corey Hawkins, Aunjanue Ellis, Jon Batiste, and Ciara.

With the countdown officially on for the release of Blitz Bazawule production, Warner Bros has unlocked an extended trailer for the eagerly awaited film – which tells the tale of sisters with an unshakeable bond.

‘Basketball Wives‘ bounces back to screens October 9 for its highly anticipated season 11 premiere and this time the top-rated VH1 reality show is bringing company.

Welcoming back veteran cast member Evelyn Lozada to the fold, the polarizing reality diva will join main cast members Shaunie Henderson, Jennifer Williams, Jackie Christie, Brooke Bailey as well as new faces Brittany Renner, Vanessa Rider, Jac’Eil Duckworth, and Clayanna Warthen.

The long-rumored, Orlando-based spinoff was recently confirmed and will be toplined by former ‘Basketball Wives LA’ star Meghan James.

Mia Thornton has been put on blast by her soon-to-be ex-husband Gordon Thornton.

As reported, the 38-year-old ‘Real Housewives of Potomac’ star announced that she is separated from her 71-year hubby after 11 years of marriage.

Once a verbal deal has gone south, a funeral homeowner (portrayed by Academy Award winner Tommy Lee Jones) calls on a slick attorney (portrayed by Jamie Lee Foxx) to save his family business from a half-billion-dollar corporation attempting a takeover in the new Amazon Studios’ film ‘The Burial.’

A gripping tale of corporate corruption, racial injustice, and greed, the Maggie Betts-directed flick – based on Jonathan Harr‘s unforgettable 1999 ‘New Yorker‘ article of the same name – is based on the real life story of Doug Wright.

With a limited theatrical run starting Friday (October 6), ‘Burial’ – also starring Jurnee Smollett, Mamoudou Athie, Pamela Reed,  Alan Ruck, and Bill Camp – premieres on Amazon Prime Video for streaming October 13.

Filthy‘ hitmaker Justin Timberlake gets down and dirty in the sinister trailer for his new movie ‘Reptile.’

Directed by Grant Singer, the film follows a detective (Benicio Del Toro) who is working to piece together the circumstances surrounding the mysterious death of a young real estate agent married to Timberlake’s untrustworthy character.

Also starring Alicia Silverstone, Ato Essandoh, Michael Beasley, Eric Bogosian, Michael Pitt, and more, the star-studded cast join forces to give viewers a thriller like none they’ve seen before.

“I wanted to get to the end as quickly as possible — just like a good book or suspenseful novel,” Justin said in an interview promoting the film. “I liked the idea of playing a character that has to constantly react to the unpredictability of what’s thrown in his direction.”
