After finding historic success by channeling Janet Jackson‘s 1986 smash ‘Control‘ in his latest chart-topper of the same name, Tank reached back in the vault of R&B classics for his new song ‘Yes‘ with hopes of repeating the feat.

Inspired by Floetry‘s unforgettable signature cut ‘Say Yes,’ the 5-time GRAMMY nominee masterfully interpolates aspects of that slow jam into his own.

“‘Yes’ is about taking a classic feeling and giving it new life,” Tank said about his latest in an official press release. “Everybody remembers where they were when they first heard Floetry’s version. I wanted to pay homage while creating something that speaks to where we are today.”

12 gorgeous new songs may line the sountrack of ‘Wicked Wonderland,’ the fifth installment of Disney’s wildly popular ‘Descendants‘ film franchise starring Malia Baker and Kylie Cantrall, but an easy standout comes from real-life music veterans Brandy and Rita Ora.

After wowing with ‘So This Is Love’ and ‘Love Ain’t It’ – their respective contributions to the soundtrack of the ‘Wonderland’ predecessor ‘Rise of Red‘ – the divas reprised their roles as Cinderella and Queen of Hearts and this time joined forces for the movie’s new tune ‘The Girl I Used to Be.’

“When it gets dark, find the light in you / And when the door slams, gotta push right through / When times get tough, she’ll know what to do / We always find a way,” they sing over Jaheem Tooms production.

Alongside its parent film released to Disney+ on Friday (July 17), ‘Girl’ is just one of many gems that lines the movie’s soundtrack unveiled the same day.

Unlike her 2025 hit return to music, Kelly Clarkson has barely given her dedicated fans time to ask “where have you been” before news dropped she’s already moving on to her next release.

After ample teasing, Friday (July 17) brought with it the arrival of the Pop diva’s newest single ‘I’d Be Lyin.’

Self-branded as a “fun, anthemic, sarcastic song,” the tune’s arrival coincides with Clarkson’s Las Vegas residency which kicks off its 2026 summer run on the same day.

“The vibe in the verse is kind of — it’s not like Prince, but it’s definitely Prince-inspired with the staccato kind of poppiness of it,” she said of ‘Lyin.’ “It has a lot of attitude, and then the chorus kind of opens up into this major pop-rock vibe that is very reminiscent of a Kelly Clarkson empowerment anthem.”
