Judge Tammy Kemp has gotten more media attention than she could have ever imagined thanks to the ‘hug seen around the world.’

While some have applauded the public official for her unique display of compassion for Amber Guyger, a former Dallas police officer who had just been convicted of killing her innocent Black neighbor in his home, Kemp says most of the commentary has been overwhelmingly negative as her office has been flooded with hate mail (e-mails and letters), phone calls, and fiery social media posts for what critics and legal experts alike are branding ‘unprofessional’ and ‘unethical’ courtroom behavior.

Nearly a week after the guilty verdict was handed down, the judge is on a media blitz to respond to the ongoing backlash and clear her name.  In addition to speaking with local Texas outlets, she sat down for an interview with CNN where she was reduced to tears recounting Guyger’s remorse over the unfortunate incident.

As reported, Rihanna covers the newest issue of US Vogue.

Beyond posing for stunning snaps and spilling on her new album(s), the superstar drew on the feature to set the record straight about those Super Bowl rumors.

For, it’s been long touted that Rih turned down an offer to headline the coveted Halftime Show due to the treatment of benched quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who hasn’t played in years since commencing his Black Lives Matter kneeling protest.

Prior to now, one of the most telling signs Ms. Fenty wasn’t down with organizers was her publicly liking an Instagram post criticising her boss Jay-Z for signing a mega deal with the NFL – for charity work and to co-produce the Halftime Show.

Now, she’s explicitly making her stance on the situation unequivocally clear.

It’s Summer Walker‘s season, that’s for sure.

The R&B newcomer, whose debut album ‘Over It’ (released October 4) is reportedly set to leap over Post Malone and Da Baby‘s sales to capture the top of the Billboard 200 next week (click here to read more about that), is keeping the momentum going by releasing a video to the LP’s cut, ‘Playing Games.’

A fan favorite from the star-studded project, ‘Games’ – which features Bryson Tiller – comes as a sultry, slow jam that hears its performers trade verses on a love gone awry.  Featuring lyrical interpolations of Destiny’s Child‘s 2000 hit, ‘Say My Name,’ the song’s Christine Yuan-directed accompanying music video was delivered moments ago.
