Dynamo divas Danity Kane brought their fire-filled brand of stage blazing to LA Pride this weekend.

Dawn, Shannon, and Aubrey rocked the sell-out crowd with a headlining set, which featured fan-favorites and newer numbers. The latter drew the most fanfare, particularly new single ‘Lemonade’.

Disastrous might be one word to describe the current state of Mariah Carey’s career, now stained in the commercial mess that is new album ‘Me.I Am Mariah…The Elusive Chanteuse’ and talk that the icon’s fun in the chart sun has now come to an end.

Unfortunately, while other artists have seen LPs that failed to fly in the US fare better in smaller markets, this week has brought with it further shame for ‘The Chanteuse’, which slipped 40 spots in one week in the United Kingdom..a fortnight after its release.

Originally released by Garry Morris in 1983, the Jimmy Bowen-produced classic ‘Wind Beneath My Wings’ is perhaps better known for Bette Midler‘s take on it in 1989, lifted from the ‘Beaches‘ soundtrack one year earlier.

However, what most may not know is the significance the number has for Patti Labelle, who performed the classic before Midler did at 1985’s ‘Look to the Rainbow Tour.’

Now, the entertainer has detailed her decision to cover the song during her recent interview with ‘Conversations with Arthel Neville.’
