After spending much of 2011 touring the States with critically acclaimed play ‘What My Husband Doesn’t Know’, Michelle Williams closes out the year with a return to music.

The soulful singer is hard at work on a new studio album (due 2012); and, so as to whet appetite’s, she’s teamed up with German DJ’s Electric Giant Beatz, featuring as a guest vocalist on their new single ‘On The Run’.

As keen appreciators of the Destiny’s Child star’s vocal prowess, we invited Williams onto our acoustic show The Splash during her recent London visit.

With fans and celebs alike rejoicing at the arrival of Beyonce‘s baby girl Blue Ivy, we thought it the aptest of occasions to travel back in time to relive one of the new-mom’s most defining moments.

This week’s From The Vault pick is the live performance her 2003 classic ‘Dangerously In Love’ at the Grammys 2004.

King Bey won 5 of her 16 Grammys on that night, one of them being for the said song.

Backed by a larger-than-life animated painting, the megastar delivered a vocally flawless rendition of the track. Notably more passionate, raw, and honest than the recorded version, she performed with such intensity and conviction that one can’t but feel what she felt for those 4 minutes.

Stunning stuff.

Yes, moments ago it was confirmed that Pop Prima Beyonce successfully delivered her first child with husband Jay Z, a healthy baby girl -reportedly named Ivy Blue. Sources close to the couple confirm the birth was a C-Section.

American Idol alum Jordin Sparks took to the RPM Nightclub at the Tropicana in Las Vegas to bring in her 22nd birthday last night.  Donning a dress by Karina Grimaldi,  the ‘No Air’ songstress was spotted with mom Jodie getting down on the dance floor before trying her hand in a few gaming lounges and indulging in a Freed’s Bakery designed cake.

The photos surface days before Sparks’ feature film debut in Sony Pictures’ remake of famed musical “Sparkle”, opposite Whitney Houston. Fans of the film will be pleased to learn of reports indicating the film will make way to theaters on August 10, 2012.

With only a few weeks shy of the anniversary of its release, Adele‘s sophomore album ‘21′ has made history yet again!

Indeed, with a whopping 19 non consecutive weeks spent atop the UK Album Chart, it is the longest running #1 album in the country since Simon & Garfunkel’s ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ which held court at the top spot for a mind blowing 33 non-consecutive weeks following its release in 1970.

This comes after the project was confirmed as being 2011’s highest selling album world wide with over 15 million copies sold, and after the singer picked up multiple nominations at the 2012 Grammy Awards, surpassing the efforts of chart rivals Rihanna, Lady GaGa and Katy Perry.

Unfortunately for fans of 50 Cent, the drama surrounding his relationship with record executive and long time friend Jimmy Iovine has played out quite publicly within the last few weeks, forcing many to question the Rapper’s future at the label and quite interestingly- his mental state.

Two nights ago, That Grape Juice came across a number of tweets from members of Lil Kim‘s fan base criticizing her  decision to withhold the release of her long awaited EP to support her friend Floyd Mayweather.

 The boxer was  recently  found guilty of assaulting the mother of his children right in front of them back in September.

Now, the Rapper’s close friend and assistant, Noel, has taken to Twitter in response to the harsh criticism his boss is currently facing.

As if the successful arrival of her daughter Blue Ivy wasn’t enough to put a smile on her face, her UK based fans have given her even  further cause to beam.

Because, in response to the daily press coverage she and her pregnancy have been receiving worldwide, she has enjoyed a sales boost in the United Kingdom with her latest album ‘4’ and its supporting singles.

Though it is sometimes very easy to forget, Pop belter Rihanna is Rap mogul Jay Z‘s most successful female artist to date, surpassing the commercial feats scored by Teairra Mari, Foxy Brown and dare we say Melanie Fiona by a long shot.

So, as a way of saying thank you for her continued success of many a single’s chart, the entertainer’s management made quite the purchase for the Island Belle recently.

A black Jeep Wrangler to be exact.
