One can’t deny Rita Ora‘s hustle.
Despite having notched up three consecutive UK #1′s, the Roc Nation star shows no signs of slowing with the push for her debut LP ‘ORA’; today unwrapping the video for project’s fifth single and fan favourite ‘Radioactive’.

Hmm…
For such an amazing song, it’s a shame the video looks like it was funded with whatever budget was left. Likely the last single from the campaign (which has thus far churned out four releases), it’s unfortunate that the quality of the clip reflects that.
Still, here’s hoping Rita’s inevitable promo push for the track compensates. Her strongest asset is her voice and her ability to deliver live; fingers crossed it’ll be enough to garner ‘Active’ the attention it deserves.

The video lacks the same energy of the song. She looks sleepy as hell too. Girl, stop at this point. Her swag is on zero. Her vocals aren’t bad but her voice doesn’t stand out. She needs an image overhaul or she can forget about ever charting anywhere outside of the UK and that’s realness!

Beautiful and such creative music but I can’t help but to fill in fulfilled. This song will get much radio play but for this to be a debut album she could’ve turned it up. Maybe some longer verses. Considering this one of the strongest tracks on her album, I’m surprised the video sucks as much as it does. I’m not even trying to throw shade but that was one of the worst videos I’ve ever seen. It’s like it’s supposed to be a joke or something…the thing is it didn’t even have to be high budget to be a good video. Something simple and cute would’ve been fine.
I think they took the whole “Radioactive” theme way too literally, and the outfits she was wearing were awful. The song almost required some kind of choreography or dance break and all she gave us was some singing into the camera while swiveling around in a chair from Office Depot. No thanks. R.I.P. to that single as far as I’m concerned.

Rita Ora has not and probably won’t sell over 1 million copies of her album WW like Music of the sun. Rita Ora does not have a worldwide smash like Pon De Replay. Rita Ora worked with the best songwriters, producers and had millions in Promo, something Rihanna didn’t have. Pon de replay was a demo and Rihanna made it a smash.
You cannot compare the two because Rita had comparative advantage with nothing to show for it. Columbia will drop her especially seeing that they’re not funding her as extravagant as they did judging from this video.

After reading ALL the comments from this blog and others, I will have to say that I honestly thought this video was gonna suck HARD…my expectations were extremely low until I clicked the play button…I can’t believe how many people hated on this video, I actually think it’s her best video, BY FAR!! Eh. I don’t think it was *bad*, it’s just…a whole lotta NOTHING going on. If she was dancing instead of just standing or sitting and looking into the camera, then it might’ve been more interesting to watch.
Several years ago, MTV, I think, had a show about music videos from well-known artists that were never aired–mainly because they were so unbelievably godawful. This video looks like the ones that were shown on that program.
