However, per industry sales estimates, the set’s projected first week numbers of 20,000 are indisputably below what many had hoped for the ‘I Bet’ led set.

During an interview with Philadelphia’s Power 99 RNGMS to plug to project’s accompanying tour, the performer was asked directly what her take on the sales were.

ABC is fast emerging as the network television hub for the revival Afro-American programming.

Indeed, with shows such as ‘Scandal,’ ‘Black-Ish,’ and ‘How To Get Away With Murder’ dominating, it appears the channel is keen equalise the TV sphere by investing in more Black-led titles.

Case in point their latest pick-up ‘Uncle Buck.’

Anchored by Mike Epps and Nia Long, the series is based on the hit movie of the same name.

Uncle Buck (Epps) is a fun-loving but irresponsible guy who needs a job and a place to stay. By happy coincidence, his nieces’ and nephew’s nanny has just quit and his brother and sister-in-law need his help. His unconventional personality just may make him the right fit for the family and they may be the answer to his problems, too.

Three relatively unknown names…that is until ‘Empire’ exploded into a TV phenomenon earlier this year.

The handsome actors star as the Lyon brothers on the FOX smash, which returns to screens for a second season this Fall.

Continuing the promotion for the show (which – with its charting music component – makes it a legit a 360 machine), the talented young men cover the June 2015 issue of ESSENCE magazine.

As well as posing together, Smollett, Gray, and Byers each feature on their own solo editions too.

After a brief spell away from the spotlight, Melanie Fiona bounces back with blazing new single ‘Bite The Bullet.’

Fiona, whose family hail from Guyana, draws on her Caribbean roots on the Reggae soaked track, which is the lead release from her third studio album ‘Awake.’

The set marks the singer’s first release since leaving Universal Republic and will arrive via Title 9 Productions / Primary Wave BMG.

Wasting no time spreading word of her return, Fiona is embarking on a five-city five promo tour sponsored by Verizon Wireless. Having kicked off in Los Angeles this past Friday, the trek will be making stops in New York, Atlanta and Washington, DC before wrapping in New Orleans at the Essence Festival.

The 27-year-old model has once again landed a-front of Vogue magazine.

Ms. Fenty appears on the cover of a special issue dedicated to the MET Gala, where she arrived in a show-stopping ensemble that polarized opinion (see: high fashion / omelette).

Remarking on her selection as the fashion bible’s latest cover star, Rih gushed:

As unlikely pairings go, there’s little linking Jennifer Lopez with R&B crooner Trey Songz.

However, the duo team up for duet on ‘Finding Neverland: The Album.’ The ambitious project (which hits stores on June 9th) sees a host of stars tackle tracks from the Broadway production of the hit musical.
