Ariana Grande may be well on her way to having 2024’s biggest first-week sales thanks to the impressive figures attached to her March 8-released studio album, ‘Eternal Sunshine,’ but the Billboard 200 won’t be the only place her name is glowing as ‘We Can’t Be Friends‘ – the LP’s latest single – is on pace to top next week’s Hot 100.

Already a fan favorite from its parent project, interest in the Max Martin-produced cut skyrocketed over the weekend thanks to Grande’s soaring debut live performance during a stint on ‘SNL on Saturday (March 9).

Before that, the GRAMMY winner lifted the lid on her tribute to Jim Carrey‘s 2004 film ‘Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind‘ for the tune’s official music video.

Rihanna and SZA are the only Black women in the nearly 78-year history of Billboard’s all-genre album chart to own projects that have charted for over 300 weeks (the equivalent of nearly 6 years).

While Rih leads the pack with the 410-week stay of her last LP, the 2016-released ‘Anti,’ the ongoing success of SZA’s 2017 debut album, ‘CTRL,’ puts it in a unique Billboard club due to its extended tenancy on the chart.
