Saweetie has been largely missing from the charts as she worked diligently on her somewhat elusive debut studio album.

Indeed, sans recent EP ‘The Single Life,’ the ‘My Type’ performer has been vocal about her desire to carve out a body of work – having spent the lion’s share of her time focussing on singles and the promotion attached.

With the New Year well underway, Saweetie has new music on the way too.

Today, she lifted the lid on a snippet for the track ‘I Be Chillin.’

TLC are pounding the promotional pavement for their self-titled final album.

Today they stopped by The Breakfast Club to plug the set (due June 30th) and certainly made for an interesting visit.

Prior to chopping it up about a range of topics, host Charlamagne asked why member Chilli she had blocked him on social media. She didn’t reveal why, yet proceeded to largely ignore him and throw shots over the course of the interview. And yes, it’s as awkward as it sounds.

Elsewhere, Chilli and T-Boz spoke about their LP, drama within the group (including a tense time with the late Left Eye), ageism, the status of Pebbleslawsuit against them, their current relationship with LA Reid, the “All Lives Matter” fiasco and much more.

A tense, yet insightful interview awaits below…

That was all sorts of awkward.

Sure, the ladies have a narrative that is so compelling that they’ll always make for great guests. But whatever Chilli was bothered about kinda placed a dark cloud over the entire interview.

Like at points it literally made for uncomfortable viewing – especially as she wouldn’t say what the issue was.

From where we’re sitting, surely the savviest approach would have been to air out any differences before the interview and have folk be none-the-wiser about any disagreements.

Because, in visiting his platform to plug her album, parts of this saw Chilli come across a touch salty.

And who knows, perhaps she’s actually in the right. But the fact she refused to say what the problem was just made this not the best look for her and, by association, the group.

Just saying.

Your thoughts?

Chilli of the supergroup TLC has shared her thoughts on the ‘Black Lives Matter‘ movement during a recent interview built to support the group’s live show in the city of London.

Why her thoughts have rubbed many of the force’s fans the wrong way?

So, why are so many people against ‘All Lives Matter’ being a response to ‘Black Lives Matter’?

The Huffington Post explains:

The basic premise behind “All Lives Matter” = we should not highlight that black lives matter because all lives matter.

As it turns out, you’re not wrong: all lives do matter. But the problem with this premise lies in what goes unaddressed in your line of thinking.

See, “Black Lives Matter“ is trying to highlight that there is demonstrable evidence that black lives matter less than white lives to the criminal justice system (and the American government as a whole).

Are they? Aren’t they?

Nick Cannon and TLC star Rozonda ‘Chilli’ Thomas have been a fixture in headlines of late after rumors of romance hit the mill.

Both have been noticeably coy about their purported coupledom,  yet they look set to make quite the statement in Cannon’s new music video.

Conveniently titled ‘If I Was Your Man,’ the clip sees Chilli star as the mogul’s leading lady. Check out the two getting all sorts of close (via E!) above.

Art imitating life or a skilful and wilful baiting of the press? Who knows.

What is certain is that eyes remain peeled to see Nick’s next move following his 2015 divorce from Mariah Carey (with whom he has two children).

Another shot of the maybe-lovers awaits below…

Things got pretty ugly yesterday for ‘Unpretty’ star Chilli (of TLC) after the singer’s 2014 ‘New Year’s Resolutions’ ruffled the feathers of members of Beyonce’s dedicated fanbase “the Beyhive”.

Indeed, after the Atlanta star implied that referring to the pop superstar as “Queen B” be “forbidden” in the new year, fans instantly went on the attack causing the 42-year-old to quickly issue a statement regarding the backlash.

It’s been a month since TLC broke VH1 viewership records with their tell-all biopic ‘CrazySexyCool:  The TLC Story’, but since then it seems the ‘Waterfalls’ duo have fallen into a firestorm of controversy with former labelhead Perri ‘Pebbles’ Reid.

First, Reid threatened legal action for her negative portrayal in the film.  This, of course, shortly before she alleged the members had an affair with her former husband/record executive L.A. Reid.  Then, the ‘Mercedes Boy’ beauty alleged that VH1 supported her claims of misrepresentation by asserting the film was a “fictionalized portrayal” of true events.

Now, the latest beef comes with reports that the Grammy winning group have been dropped from EPIC records – a new deal made with L.A. Reid in July for support of their new greatest hits album featuring the single ‘Meant To Be’
