One of music’s biggest hit makers, The-Dream, has finally finished his new studio album. The singer/songwriter, who co-wrote Mariah Carey’s ‘Obsessed’ and Beyonce’s ‘Single Ladies’, had the following to say about the LP, ‘Love King’:
“Love King is the best of the Three albums And Its FINISHED!” he tweeted. “Pre-Order and buy from a brand you can Trust! Radiokilla Records.” {Source}
This is some very exciting news! The-Dream’s last album, ‘Love vs. Money’, was one of the best of 2009 and demonstrated why he is indeed a musical prodigy. Songs like ‘Walking On The Moon (Ft. Kanye West)’ were shamelessly overlooked by the Grammy Awards in favour of much weaker material. Interestingly, although his material for other artists have gone down as some of the biggest hits of the last decade, he is yet to have a #1 song of his own. Hopefully he ‘gets his’ with this new album.

While The Dream’s albums are good, he is not a good performer. He sounds horrible live and has no stage presence. The reason his songs are hits with other artist is because of the artist you named. He bitched about not getting nominated, you have to get out there and sell your songs, tour. Not just do a video and perform on 106 & Park, the grammy academy is not going to notice you.

im gonna need for the dream to come up with better cd names. Does every album have to have love in it? serioulsy! im gettin confused about which one he’s talkin bout. He does make good music, but his live and stage presence is horrible.

His album was NOT one of the best of 09, it was decent. He could have gotten one Grammy nod for “rockin’ that thang,” but thats it.

He’s awful live. He better get some tips from Cassie. Your stage presence is awful, no energy. Maybe if Cassie was on your tracks they’d be more credible and actually sale.

Man EVERY time i try and like the Dream he ALWAYS ruins it by saying he’s releasing a new album like really Dream?! Is it necessary? He is AMAZING as a producer no doubt about it but as a singer come on now homie…just leave it to the REAL singers and performers like Maxwell, Brian McKnight, Usher, Trey Songz….stay behind your little board and push buttons okay boo?

Hmm not sure if Love Vs. Money was one of the hottest albums of 2009 and i dont think i’ll be checking for this new one but best of luck to him i guess? Everybody has to have a dream and i guess his is singing? hmmm…
@1 yea he and Christina Milian actually married and @Sammy PLEASE not AGAIN with the Cassie talk?! I mean really who is checking for her?! I honestly think your Cassie herself now because i’ve never seen someone push for an artist who hasn’t even had a hit out since Lord knows when….just give it a rest sweety

Cassie sold nearly 1,000,000 copies of her album world wide on the back of 2 singles. Not an easy feat. Don’t hate the truth. Cassie is relavent and always wll be.

I find his music annoying after a while especially on his last CD which was HORRIBLE & Tasteless. Im not sure if he uses Vocalizers or Autotune but he is so over played. his 1st album was good & SL was too but he needs to step it up. He has a Range Weaker than that of a Fork tapping a Wine Glass.
